I am corresponding with the son of a friend of mine from church who is serving time at a prison in Sheridan, Illinois. His incarceration time will be up in a few months, and he has applied to spend the rest of his sentence in your halfway house. I would like to submit a letter of recommendation for him. He has worked hard in classes and activities during his time in prison, and he really wants to get out and do the right thing for his kids. This is a first for me. Is it okay for me to submit such a letter to you? I am a retired teacher from southern Missouri, and live in Arkansas.
